La Fougère is one of only two restaurants in Ireland to win a Wine Spectator Award 2011. The Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence are designed to recognise restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers, from one of the world’s foremost and best-respected authorities on wine, Wine Spectator magazine. Testing and rating wines and restaurant wine lists all over the world for over thirty years, Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Wine List Awards honours the world’s very best wine lists. La Fougère has also been specially commended for 'Best Wine List in Ireland' at the Conde Nast Johansens 2011 Annual Awards for Excellence.
With a large glass-fronted, walk-through, wine cellar, La Fougère offers guests a superb choice of wines from around the world. Our extensive wine list now contains 270 bottles, all categorised by countries of origin and then split into specific regions. Each bottle on the list is individually chosen to provide a rich and varied choice for everyone who loves wine, and Food&Wine Magazine Best Sommelier Award Nominee 2011, in-house sommelier Nick Faujour is always on hand to offer his exceptional knowledge and expertise.
